We are going camping this weekend  for three nights.    I like to camp, but I don't loooove to camp. One weekend last month my husband was going out of town and we were talking about what the kids and I were going to do.  He said, Why don't you take the kids camping? These treats are very similar to my Powder Day Energy Bars but without any nuts.  Several good friends have nut allergies in their family  and I wanted to make something delicious for them.    Nut allergies are becoming more and more common and many classerooms do not allow nuts of any kind in kids lunches.   This is a safe  and delicious treat to pack in your kids lunchbox, to bring as a class snack, or to take on outdoor adventures!
