These are some tasty muffins.  I love the combination of nutty oats and earthy buckwheat flour.  Add some maple syrup, molasses and cinnamon and you have yourselves a winner. These healthy and hearty gluten free muffins are sure to start your day off on a good note.  Despite it's name, buckwheat is not actually wheat.   Buckwheat groats are gluten free and when cooked are often called Kasha. Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a great holiday season and are feeling rested and ready to start out 2015 on a healthy note.  It's a good time to reflect and think about what you want to bring to this new year.   January is the month we all have the motivation to change our bad habits and start on a healthy track.  I ended 2014 with a few too many indulgences so  I started this month on an elimination diet and a week  free of social media.   It felt really good.
